Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use Aktive, we collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the platform:

  • Account data — name, email address, and company name when you sign up or contact us.
  • Project data — design briefs, reference files, revision notes, and any other materials you submit as part of a request.
  • Billing data — subscription plan and payment method details. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/region) to help us improve the platform.

How we use it

We use your information only to deliver and improve the service:

  • Create and manage your account and client portal
  • Deliver design work, communicate on projects, and send status updates
  • Process subscription billing through Stripe
  • Respond to support requests and questions
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Improve platform performance and features

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-party processors

We work with a small set of trusted providers to operate the platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing. Your card data is stored and managed by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Your account data is stored in encrypted, access-controlled databases.
  • Vercel — hosting and delivery of the platform. Vercel processes request logs for operational purposes.

Each of these providers is contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or financial compliance (typically up to 7 years for billing records).

Project files you have submitted may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for internal training and quality improvement, unless you request deletion in writing.

Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies to operate the platform:

  • Session cookies — required to keep you logged in. These expire when you close your browser.
  • Preference cookies — store non-personal settings like theme or layout state.
  • Analytics cookies — aggregate, anonymized data on how pages are used. No individual tracking.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Note that session cookies are required to use the client portal.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted database storage, and strict access controls. No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@aktivedesign.com.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the effective date above. Continued use of the platform after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance.
